Non-alcoholic beverages - permanently increasing segment of market.Peer-reviewed article

Non-alcoholic beverages belong to some segments of the food market in Western Europe that permanently increases. Growing trends of individual product groups of non-alcoholic beverages during last decade are evaluated. Also the most progressive trends of innovation are described. The common sign of these trends is in the health and ecological consciousness of customers. The specific problems of the following product groups are discussed: light beverages, beverages containing balast compounds and non-alcoholic beverages enriched by vitamins. At the end the question regarding the situation in Czechoslovakia during the period of the economy transformation from the standpoint of the market with non-alcoholic beverages is discussed.
