The results of analytical monitoring an average resin composition of hop harvests for the period 1950-1995 in the Žatec region and 1982-1995 in Moravian region of the CzechRepub1ic are summarized. From presented results covering 45 years a slight long-term decline in α-acid, total and soft resin content of' aroma hops is evident. Naturally, the connection of this decline in brewing value with the changes of applied analytical methods cannot be excluded. The results since the beginning of the 1980s until the present time indicate certain stabilization of resin fractions' values in the Žatec and Moravian regions.
