In the article are presented yields of alcohol determinated by laboratory fermentative tests of representative varieties and newly selected triticale. For starch hydrolysis were used commercial enzymatic preparates, and therefore it was possible made the experiment by so called cold pressure-free way. Yields of alcohol were for individua! samples demonstrably different. The highest yield had variety Ring (40,69 litres a.a./l00kg dry matter). The content of starch in corn was not for alcohol yield decisive. It was stated, that the fermentative test could be suitable parameter for determination of varieties suitable for distilleries.
