By putting into operation new automatic lines consisting of the Bucher Guyer presses tiresome hand labour was eliminated and productivity sharply improved in some plants of United Canning and Distilling Industries. New installations permitted to cope successfully with extremely high crops of apples in 1976 and 1978. At present the most outstanding task is to build storage capacities adequate to the productivity of new plants and to install evaporators required for making apple concentrate, which is now in good demand on export markets.(In Czech, English summary only)
