The formation of NDMA has been observed under different regimes of kilning on a plant scale. The observation of a temperature and moisture of malt individual malt layers on the formation of NDMA permitted to achieve information about the behaviour of the individual layers during kilning. The results makes possible to formulate general rules for the kilning procedure with the aim to obtain malt with the reduced content of NDMA.(In Czech, English summary only)

Kvasny Prum. 1989; 35(12): 357-358 | DOI: 10.18832/kp1989046
The spore formation, the necessity of growth factors, the resistance to antibiotics, the cell ploidity and the respiration ability were determined with the yeasts isolated from an after-fermentation of wines from theSouth Moraviaviticulture region. All the observed strains were prototrophic, with respiration and diploidic. Their sporulation ability was low. They have no killing activity.(In Slovak, English summary only)

Kvasny Prum. 1989; 35(12): 359-362 | DOI: 10.18832/kp1989047
The mutant of Aspergillus niger LP 48 has been cultured in submerged cultivations on production media with D-glucose, D-mannose, D-xylose and L-arabinose as the carbon sources. The yield of citric acid decreased in the following manner: glucose, mannose, xylose and arabinose. Further, cultivations on the mixture of two, three or four monosaccharides were performed. Thse expriments approximately have simulated the saccharidic spectrum of real lignocellulosic wastes.(In Czech, English summary only)
Biological denitrification of waste waters.Peer-reviewed article
S. ČIŽINSKÁ, S. ONDŘEJOVÁ, J. KREJČÍ, F. KŘENEK, V. MATĚJŮ
Kvasny Prum. 1989; 35(12): 363-365 | DOI: 10.18832/kp1989048
Wastes from the plant Tesla Rožnov have been denitrified by chemically immobilized cells of a mixed population of activated sludge. During the continuous processing of the pre-treated Si-concentrate in the column with the fixed layer of the immobilized cells nitrates were reduced in about of 860.6 mg/l NO-3-N. The average specific denitrification rate was 0.77 mg of reduced nitrate nitrogen on1 g of cell dry weight per hour.(In Czech, English summary only)
