Measurement of pasteurization units during flash pasteurization of beer.Peer-reviewed article

In article are presented pasteurization theory, different ways of microbiological treatment of finished beer, division into various types of pasteurization. In more detail the article deals with the measurement mode of intensity of flash pasteurization in conditions of Czech brewing. In detail the measurement method is described on two basic brewing. In detail the measurement method is described on two basic examples of pasteurizer with simple and modern regulating elements. The conclusion of article is summary of concrete measures resulting in the improvement of function of flash pasteurizers.(In Czech, English summary only)

Monitoring of ageing process of new hybrid varieties Bor, Sládek and Premiant.Peer-reviewed article

The contribution deals with ageing of new hybrid varieties of Czech origin (Bor, Sládek, Premiant), which are within the framework of variety transformation introduces into agricultural practice. In testing was even Saaz semi-early red bine hop included as a reference variety. The ageing process was being monitored in time horizont 7 months from the crop 1997 up to March 1998. On the basis of decrease of alpha-bitter acid content, hard resin content and hop storage index (HSI) has been found that all hybrid varieties in comparison with Saaz semi-early red bine hop better storage characteristics.
