Approximate determination of polyphenol compounds in beer.Peer-reviewed article
J. HUMMEL
Kvasny Prum. 1968; 14(3): 54-56 | DOI: 10.18832/kp1968008
The author describes a new, accelerated method which has been developed for an approximate determination of polyphenols present in beer and reacting to ferryion at pH roughly 9,2. Effect of treatment with two preparations, viz TANSUL applied on a production scale and POLYCLAR AT applied in laboratory, upon the polyphenol content are discussed in detail.(In Czech, English summary only)

J. FARKAŠ, A. PRÍBELA
Kvasny Prum. 1968; 14(3): 57-61 | DOI: 10.18832/kp1968009
Comparison of three analytic methods which are used for the determination of ethyl alcohol in wine, viz.: distillation, ebullioscopy and chromatography confirm, that gas chromatography is the best of them being simple, reliable and time saving. It should be therefore recommended for routine analyses at wine making plants, where it is necessary to determine the ethyl alcohol contents in various stages of the processing technology.(In Slovak, English summary only)
