The effect of mixed sprays formed by the fertilizer DAM 390 and the herbicide solution of phenoyxacetic acid on the content of N-nitrosamines in barley and malt was studied on a pilot and an industrial scale. The level of volatile N-nitrosamines was determined in malt samples being dried in an atmosphere with low and high contents of NOx. The results showed that the addition of chemical compounds applied during growth of malting barley have no principle affect on the level of volatile N-nitrosamines in malt.(In Czech, English summary only)
Application of spectral data and computation methods for colour determination. I. Theoretical basis of colour perception.Peer-reviewed article
A. BARTKO, J. GOTVALD
Kvasny Prum. 1989; 35(10): 292-296 | DOI: 10.18832/kp1989038
Objective procedures of a colour determination for the sample description use a scale of spectral values. Gradual transformations of the spectral data are carried out with the aim to achieve the result approaching a colour perception with the human eye. The study is focused on the theoretical description of principles for an exact procedure of the comparison of coloured materials.(In Czech, English summary only)
Application of isolatachophoresis for the determination of compounds binding sulphur dioxide in wine.Peer-reviewed article
J. KOVÁČ, J. FARKA©, M. SVOBODA
Kvasny Prum. 1989; 35(10): 296-299 | DOI: 10.18832/kp1989039
The application of isotachphoresis for the determination of acetaldehyde, pyruvic acid and 2-oxoglutaric acid in wine is described. These compounds react with sulphur dioxide. The fixed SO2 is no more active. The method is quick, accurate enough and permits the evaluation of the formation of SO2-inactive compounds in production plants.(In Slovak, English summary only)
