The results of the first Czechoslovak varieties tests in EBC scope.Peer-reviewed article

CzechRepublichas been a regular EBC member since 1994, but workers of the Research Institute of Brewing and Malting (VÚPS) are already taking part in activity of EBC commissions since1991. Incooperation with SKZÚZ Brno and ÚKSÚP Bratislava, field tests in stations Vìrovany (ÈR) and Báhoò (SK) were secured. Owing to high protein contents it was not possible to evaluate the tested from Báhoò station. As the best one from tested European spring barley varieties in the station Vìrovany there was Dallas variety (GB), which is cultivation year 1993 with 11,7 % protein contents in barley corn reached extractivity of 82,9 %, possessing at the same time high...

The paper is linking to the first report dedicated to minimal tests´ range of brewing and malting raw materials, semi-products and beer. The work contains elaboration of tests minimal range necessary for securing a product quality. It concerns additives, filter aids, stabilisation substances and clarifiers. lyes and acids, cleaning and disinfection means, band greases as well as beer stone removing means.(In Czech, English summary only)
