The author describes a new filtration plant manufactured by the ZVU Works at Hraden Králové. The plant consists of the foolowing part: centrifugal pressure equalizer, doser of filtering material with metering pump adjustace on the run, candle or plate filter of the cash-on type, plate filter for intensit (sterilizing) filtration and carbonized. In candle filters the filtering material, i. E. kieselguhr is washed onCannesmade of stainless wire wound on perforated, Groove pipes of the same material. In cash-on plate filters kieselguhr is held by celulose layers clamped between plates in 800 × 800 mmframes. In plate filters for intensit filtration beer passed through celulose layers containing grand asbestos, which, owing to its extremely fine fibres, has anexcellent filtering efficiency. The layers are inserted between the 800 ×800 mmplate sof polypropylene made as integral units. The maximum capacity of available filtering atations is 500 hl/hr.
