A continuous procedure of wort boiling according to Steinecker firm is described. The knowledges were obtained from an experimental operation of this equipment in Staropramen Brewery inPrague. The continuous preparation of wort caused no difficulties on further technological procedures. In comparison to the standard samples these ones had a better composition (colour, bitterness, coagulated nitrogen, dimethylsulphide). Changes in sensorical beer characteristics cannot be noticed by the customers.(In Czech, English summary only)

The baker's yeast strain S. cerevisiae KBD was selected during the six-stage cultivation under conditions of an industrial yeast production. The selection was performed from the final product (pressed yeast). The isolated strain D7 has the following different in comparison to the parent strain: the cells are larger, higher biomass yield, the content of ergosterol in the cell dry weight is higher, the fraction of ergosterol in the steroid mixture is higher. There is comparison of the methods of determining free SO2 from measured absorbance after decolorization of anthocyanins, potentiometric determination of free and whole SO2 and determination of whole SO2 by the distillation method. It has been shown that the distillation Metod may be a correct and precise one. In terms of the results of this method there was calculated the correlation with the values of potentiometric determination for Svätovavrinecké wine r = 0,995 and for Frankovka r = 0,981. There has been isolated a mutant Corynebacterium glutamicum 9366-T/6, sensitive to threonine and producing lysine. The mutant was able to accumulate 49 g . l-1 lysine in a medium containing 18 % sucrose, 16,5 % acid hydrolyzate of peanut meal and 12 % cultivation liquid after fermentation of homoserine producing bacterial mutant.(In Czech, English summary only)

The individual steps of a method of the induced protoplast fusion, i. e. the protoplast preparation, the induced fusion, the protoplast reversion to divided cells and the hybrid selection are described. Also other procedures are characterized as follows: the hybrid preparations, the fusion of dead protoplasts, the fusion of protoplasts with liposome, the fusion of a yeast protoplasts with s bacterial spheroplast, the transition of cytoplasmic and nucleic genes during the transition of some parts of genom from donor to recipient cells.(In Czech, English summary only)

A review of machine equipments for a mechanization of the palletization using pallets of 1200 ´ 800 and 1200 ´1000 mmis given. The parameters of the semiautomatic and automatic palletizators NGF 245 and DP-1P and further equipments are described.
