Kvasny Prum. 1960; 6(5): 98-101 | DOI: 10.18832/kp1960019
The article presents the results achieved in the competition originating from theOlomoucdistrict and aimed at better quality and higher crops of barley for malting plants. Good results in 1959 can be explained by increased interest of barley growers as well as by favourable weather conditions prevailing during the vegetation period. The spell of rains in the ripening period reduced the crop and spoiled slightly the colour of the grain, but did not deteriorated the quality of barley. The results are compared with the previous years and are analysed in tables and diagrams.(In Czech, English summary only)
