Long-term Development Trend of Brewing Properties of Czech Provenience's Hops.Peer-reviewed article

The results of analytical monitoring an average resin composition of hop harvests for the period 1950-1995 in the ®atec region and 1982-1995 in Moravian region of the CzechRepub1ic are summarized. From presented results covering 45 years a slight long-term decline in α-acid, total and soft resin content of' aroma hops is evident. Naturally, the connection of this decline in brewing value with the changes of applied analytical methods cannot be excluded. The results since the beginning of the 1980s until the present time indicate certain stabilization of resin fractions' values in the ®atec and Moravian regions.(In Czech, English summary only)

In the course of au-state soft drinks quality control during the first seven 1995's months, assessment underwent 1 319 domestic and imported soft drinks specimen. The binding legal regulations requirements were not met by 9,9 % of the specimens. Owing to the fact that soft drinks considerably participate in consumer basket of foodstuff products, consequently, their control will also in future remain the object of the state supervision activity. For this reason, the outlined activity should aim at developing more simple conditions for honest manufacturers and, from the viewpoint of state supervision, setting up a more effective and transparent control...
