Practical experience with malting in shifting heaps.Peer-reviewed article

The article presents partial results of technological and analytic evaluation of malt produced at three malting plants, which have recently been built inCzechoslovakiaand employ in their technological schemes shifting heaps. Despite initial troubles, resulting from the lack of necessary knowledge on the part of operators, and despite the necessity to compare and verify various modifications of basic technology, the quality of product was in every respect and consistently good. The results of analyses, applying mechanical and chemical criteria, are tabulated.
