Kvasny Prum. 1988; 34(3): 68-69 | DOI: 10.18832/kp1988010
From comprison of foreign and Czech barleys and commercial malts from Koospol it can be concluded that the Czech varieties and malts produced from spring barleys are still on the world top if the proper technology is kept. From the standpoint of the world-wide quality, the best variety is Rubín and at present the new variety Perun yet.(In Czech, English summary only)
An influence of molasses fractions on growth and lysine production of mutants of species Brevibacterium flavum.Peer-reviewed article
J. PLACHÝ, J. PELZBAUER, V. BULANT, F. PALEČKOVÁ
Kvasny Prum. 1988; 34(3): 70-71 | DOI: 10.18832/kp1988011
After a substitution of sugar by molasses there were appeared a growth inhibition and a decrease of lysine production of a mutant Brevibacterium flavum CB. A fraction of molasses containing most of amino acids had a maximal inhibitory effect as to both the growth and the production. When a sugar fraction of molasses was used as a carbon source the productions were achieved which represented 75 - 90 % of the production reached in a medium containing sucrose.(In Czech, English summary only)
Utilization of non-standard bread for amylase production by fungi.Peer-reviewed article
V. VOLLEK, B. ŠKÁRKA, I. MAJERÍKOVÁ, M. ČANIGOVÁ
Kvasny Prum. 1988; 34(3): 71-73 | DOI: 10.18832/kp1988012
The possibility of the use of un-standard brad as a sole carbon source for amylases production by Aspergilus niger IV-123 was examined. The activity of a-amylase and total amylolytic activity were measured. We found that brown and white bread with the supplement of corn-steep liquor (2,5 g . L-1) is a suitable carbon source, because the amylases activity is practically the same as in control.(In Slovak, English summary only)
Decentralized sanitary unit.Peer-reviewed article
V. RYBÁK, J. HLAVÁČEK, L. BOHDANECKÝ
Kvasny Prum. 1988; 34(3): 73-76 | DOI: 10.18832/kp1988013
A development of centralized sanitary systems brought about just some disadvantages. These disadvantages are avoided in case when the decentralized sanitary unit is used. The decentralized sanitary unit developed in Research Institute of Food and Cooling Technique in Hradec Králové is described in the article. This unit is manufactured in Mashine Works of Chotěboř since1988. Inaddition to the technical description also the control computer, program and operating panel are described. The advantages of the decentralized system results from the experiments. The text is completed with three figures and one table containing a comparison of consumptions...
